I’m back.

Paul and I are back from a lovely weekend. Santa Barbara sure is pretty. We stayed in Montecito, which is even prettier. Heard a Jazz ensemble (The Ahmad Jamal Trio), went to Solvang, saw Lake Cachuma, and visited the SB mission. Hope your weekend was relaxing as well.

Don’t forget that this week’s twenty-something group is meeting on Wednesday, instead of Thursday, at Lori and Angelo’s house. Check out instantchurch.com at the right for directions and info.

So that’s it for now. Or for a while. Depends on how long it takes me to think of something good to say.

I think I’m gonna come too…since I don’t have to go to the stupid burn this week. (just kidding)…(i mean about the “stupid” part)….(or am i?)….(if i were really joking around, wouldn’t i have just deleted what i had written?)

I now pronounce Curt the winner! Sorry Amy. Though neither of you have posted on your websites, it appears you have made the first comment. Even though you got second place, I’m still impressed that you were able to stay away for a whole week. Good job!!

As for the contents of your post, it sounds like subconciously you think the burn is stupid, but at the thought of that being made public you have reservations. :p

hey you nuts. what have we been going over in our group? hmmm. week before last was a brainstorming session on where we’d like to see the group go. new services? new service projects? studies? etc. last week was a good discussion on the centrality of baptism to salvation (or its lack thereof, as our group unanimously decided) spurred by a clip from the jesus christ show. it was a lot of fun. whatever we do, its always very discussion oriented and interest driven. no books to follow. actually, it would be great if you guys and amy came willing to share topics or ideas you’d like the group to follow up on.

in light of how i’ve just typed this post, i must think that capitalization is stupid. which i do. i’d get rid of punctuation too, but, then you wouldn’t be able to read this. hope to see you two and amy this wed night. someone always brings cookies or goodies, so feel free to bring something. or feel free not to. see how flexible we are?

hmm, i’ve forgotten we have a harry potter date with a friend and stacie’s parents on wednesday. We’re looking at a 4 pm show, so that would still give us time to get out. I’ll keep you posted!
