THAT’S HOT!!!! My stove, that is.
I’m cooking. It’s something I do on occasion. Today’s projects have included chicken soup of sorts, and prepping for a cold chicken and veggie salad. The former is inspired by a package of Manischewitz soup mix. I’m dumping chicken and veggies in, so its not kosher, but for some reason its just extra fun to use at least a couple of ingredients which adhere to rabbinical law for food preparation. Consider adventure my middle name.
I’m also doing homework. The last class I will ever have to take ever unless I go completely insane and take another class someday before I die will be over by this Friday. It’s a distance learning class which they give you six months to complete. I don’t like to be wasteful with time, so I generally give myself about two weeks, except last week was kinda an off week for me, so now I’ve got an awful lot to do. Which is okay cuz the assignments are all fun things like eating cookies and hula-hooping—OR maybe they’re mind-bendingly boring tasks like reading several hundred pages of Martin Luther and writing papers on the history of the development of the doctrine of repentance through several hundred years of church history. I forget. If only I might continue repeating, like a mantra, those words of the little train of whose perseverance of folkloric proportions we all heard whilst at our mother’s knee: I think I can…I think I can…I think…I…can…finish this by Friday and go out for happy hour!
Got a gym membership at the new Bally’s. Friends and family are $16 a month if you wanna sign up. That way, we can all look hot together.

So what comes after no more school? An internship, hours upon hours of working for free?

From now until next summer I work on my dissertation, apply/interview for internship (which will hopefully begin Summer 2007, and which usually pays about 15-20K for the 12 month rotation), and continue working at USC, but as a Psych Assistant rather than a student, which means I can be paid–although those details have yet to be worked out.
