And now for something completely different.

The sunset on the drive home this evening was world class. On the 710 south, just before the Imperial offramp, for a short while you’re on a curve high above the neighborhood and the riverbed. And tonight, the sky was 180 degrees of orange and pink. I don’t think we had a sunset that nice last time we were in Hawaii.

I’ve run out of books again–fiction, that is. Anyone ever read Daniel Deronda? I’ve been having book-guilt over not finishing it. George Eliot and I have been unable to make friends.

A couple days ago as I was waiting for the gate to open so I could drive out of the complex (we live in a cult community, and worship the almighty HOA), our neighbor’s gray cat sauntered across my path with something–something large–in it’s mouth. It stopped right by the gate where I could see it, spit out the something, and stared at me. I drove up peering out of the window. Grasshopper? Mouse? In fact, it had been carrying a really large leaf–oak, maple, I don’t know–around for no reason. Because I happen to know for a fact that cats don’t eat leaves. Grass. They eat grass. And then puke it up.

Congrats to Jason on the second interview. Happy birthday to Rich for living for another year. Thanks to hubby for making plans this weekend.

That is all.  MRI out!

What are the plans, if you don’t mind me asking.

10 bucks if you get a picture of one of the cats carrying around a leaf.

I’m gonna put the digital camera in my purse right now. Would you rather have a photo or a video?
