Save Global Warming

The thinking person cannot help but be aware of the Global Warming related discussion ocurring in the media lately. Our esteemed former-vice president cum hollywood socialite has definitely been doing his part to arm us with scientific scare tactics to help us respond appropriately to what he considers an ecological crisis which may wipe human life from the face of the earth.

I would like to take this opportunity to object, in a strongly worded blog, to the discriminatory and prejudicial stance which close-minded persons such as Gore are demonstrating toward an environmental phenomenon which they consider less desirable than other environmental phenomena. Every year we permit sandstorms, earthquakes, and even hurricanes to occur with only a lament for their unavoidable presence in our lives. However the degree of hate-mongering vitriol leveled against global warming clearly reveals the biases of said hate-mongerers. Global cooling? Fine. Global temperature-neutrality? So much the better. Global WARMING? Forget it. We cannot possibly claim to live in a diverse global society with a true dedication to equality and acceptance if such widely-regarded and well-credentialed authorities on climatology as Al Gore would still be unwilling to have Global Warming live in their neighborhood, attend their churches, or have an authentic impact on the global climate. For shame, Mr. Gore. Perhaps you would prefer that Global Warming merely mow your lawn or clean your house, in other words, perhaps Global Warming ought to “keep its place” and not ruin your secret vision of a warmth-free globe?

I for one am willing to stand against such atmospheric bigotry and proclaim Global Warming’s right to free and equal participation in a globe which tolerates all forms of ‘climate orientation.’ For shame, Mr. Gore! I support the globe’s right to choose warmth!

Did you know that in the 70′s there was a warning about global cooling and that the earth was going to freeze over. Good thing we polluted so much in the 80′s

Have you watched the BBC documentary I posted yet? It should be required viewing to get your “I’m not a global warming idiot” degree.

I watched most of that BBC documentary (had to stop to do a little math tutoring). Is there a way to get that on DVD? I guess I’m directing this to Andrew, which means I’m actually on the wrong blog. Ha!

I’ll get you a copy of it, I was going to stick it on DVD so I’d have it available to loan out.
