Bond, MRI Bond

I feel like I just walked out of the movie Oceans 11, or maybe I am James Bond or something. Just found a Masterlock I thought was lost (yay!), but it had been erroneously lost for long enough that I forgot the combination (boo). Searched a little on some nerd websites and found a way to crack a masterlock. I know many of you young yobs have been doing this sort of thing since Kindergarten, but I am new to crime, and to the rush it brings. Beware. None of your belongings which happen to be protected by a Masterlock are safe! (Assuming you allow ample time for me to conduct a somewhat lengthy combination of mathematical formulas and trial-by-error in order to commit larceny.) I am available for parties.

On an unrelated note, you may notice the absence of apostrophes in this post. That is because my  “Find” toolbar comes up automatically every time I try to use them. I have had this problem before and familiarity has not bred amusement. I would like to put a hit out on my “Find” toolbar, if anyone knows any reputable hit-persons.

    I’m here to lend my services for the removal of said unwanted “find” toolbar. ( I’m Italian, you should’ve known.)I’m afraid your computer wouldn’t survive what I would have in store for it. Problem solved??

    I’ve cracked a Masterlock too following a video, pretty easy since they only have about 10 spots on them.

    For your quickfind woes in Firefox, put about:config into the address bar find accessibility.typeaheadfind.autostart, should be near the top, double click it to set it to false. Restart Firefox and you should be good.

    I’ll try Andrew’s directions as soon as I feel up to the challenge. But if not, my paisan of a computer may need to get whacked.

    <Geek to English>
    Go to:
    Tools
    Options
    Advanced
    In the General Tab:
    Uncheck Search for text when I start typing
    Press OK

    It’s done!

    your site reads well with a little Bennie & the Jets behind it!

    Actually what I described is completely different then what the “Search for text” option in the preferences applies to. There’s a separate quickfind toolbar that is enabled by typing an apostrophe or forward slash when a form field does not have focus (one searches links only or something). The only way to disable it is using an extension or simply going into about:config. By contrast, the “Search for text” option allows you to start a search using any key when a form field does not have focus.

    That was the most random bunch of comments ever.

    That’s incredibly stange because when I’m on your site and I type an apostrophe my search bar pops up too. How strange.
