Coupla blokes and a F-load of cutlery.
As connoisseurs of fine cinema, Paul and I had been chastising ourselves for failing to see the critically acclaimed Hot Fuzz in theaters, so we Netflixed it. Quite a few chuckles, and I think it would’ve been even funnier with subtitles. Dang English and their crazy accents. Shaun of the Dead is in the cue.
Long week. Good week, just lots of growth and challenges and generally trying to learn to be a psychologist at lightning speed. Kinda exhausting in a good way. But it has necessitated a purely workless weekend filled with surfing and british comedy. Ask Paul about his swim of death.
Speaking of Paul, he’s old plus one today. We’re about to head downtown for a little Ghirardelli’s. Yum.
Lori–I’ll call you about those photos any day now. Promise.

ah yes, we highly enjoyed that flick. I personally liked the fight scene at the end – you know, the one in the ‘mini’ town… and WHY was there a ‘mini’ town??? Good stuff!

Happy Birthday Paul!
Hot Fuzz is one I still need to see.

Happy b-day Pauly! (it isn’t paul’s blog but I guess it works too. Besides, Nathan did it. I’m too young to bother to do something too different) Anywho, Hot Fuzz was good. It was on my list for awhile. I kind of expected better but I really wasn’t disappointed. It’s a British flick after all, what’d you expect?

Listen Mr. Italian, don’t be knocking the British humor! haha

Hot Fuzz, British humor aside… very funny
If we’re going to knock British humor… Lori and I recently *rented* Mr Bean’s Holiday and it was terrible… and I like Mr. Bean. He’s trying to talk to much with his mouth and less with his body and actions, nothing will top the skits they did on the TV show.

Hey, I enjoy british humor. Monty python and the holy grail is one of my favorites. I haven’t seen the new Bean flick, but I liked some of rowan atkinsons other movies so I will have to check it out.

Idiocracy. Hilarious and Scary all at the same time.
Hot Fuzz I still need to complete all the way through. The parts I saw were funny, including the Mini Town Fight Scene.

We saw a commercial for Bean’s Holiday on TV recently. I looked wistfully at the TV, then at Paul. He just frowned and shook his head, “uh uh.”
I’ll have to rent it on the sly.

Andrew said something about seeing Mr. Bean, my reaction was very similar to Paul’s. Andrew will have to rent it on the sly also.
Hot Fuzz should come in the mail today. We will hopefully get to watch it tonight.
