This post is a break from working on the dissertation. I’ve been running stats while sitting in my stinky workout clothes and without my glasses on. I know that as soon as I get up to shower or even get my spectacles, I’ll lose momentum and stop working. Instead, I’m squinting and persevering.

Drove out on Wednesday and stopped for breakfast at Major’s Diner in Pine Valley, which apparently used to be on the main road. Now it’s 7+ miles off the 8 freeway. Hit Yuma, and hit the Cracker Barrel. [...]

And a big happy birthday to Jason the Parks, who turns 29 years old today. It’s gonna be a big year for you buddy, and for that I’m thanking God in advance.

My adrenaline is still pumping a little. We went to Fry’s. No, it’s not that electronics excite me.
We got into the exchange/return line with 15 other people, and about 3 days later we were all beginning to get restless, wondering why the 6-12 employees standing around doing nothing at any given moment weren’t helping any [...]

I went to my 10 year reunion so I could talk to a bunch of people I see occasionally/frequently anyway, and a handful of people I haven’t seen in 10 years. This in combination with some chicken with white sauce is worth about $100, apparently.
