Out of surgery

Spent the morning doing the usual–observing a temporal lobectomy. That’s brain surgery, in layman’s terms.

Somebody’s got a faulty temporal lobe (the portion of the brain running along the side of your head–running from behind your ears to the temples), so you open up their skull and suck out some brain. Sound inelegant? It is. But also really fun. I wore scrubs. More tomorrow, when I’m not so darn tired from being up wicked early to look at a live human brain.

I found this info online, which is a pretty interesting description of a temporal lobectomy.
