“Cheese-eating surrender monkeys.”
Thanks to Jeremy Clarkson, this is now the permanent way in which I will be referring to the French.
Friday was a reeeeeally hard day, so to relax we went to a museum and saw a giant metal balloon animal. They let me ride him, and name him Mr. Chips.
To celebrate the rest of the weekend, I ice skated (see bruise on knee from wall, bruise on ankle from skate). No one fell down without serious assistance from Casy P. (and I did not fall, I intentionally knelt to avoid fallage). I fed my nephew TWO jars of food (none of which got spit on me–mildly disappointing), with bites punctuated by grunting hunger noises. Toilet papered something. Can’t recall what. Watched the Lakers dominate the Bucks’ pants off (mildly obscene).
Christmas is a few weeks away, and it definitely feels like it’s sneaking up on me. There’s a lot competing for my attention right now–licensure, getting by at work, needing a job, loan deferments. It’s a lot to think about, and a good time to surrender all the concerns to God’s care and sovereignty. If the miracle of Christmas is the unprecedented and intimate breaking-in of God’s Son into the lives of humans, may he break-in anew this season and this coming year, gathering everything in our lives to direct toward his purpose, carrying us along in grace.

The man sure does have a way with words and when he stands next to (shrimpy but man pretty) Hammond he appears to be a GIANT!
I also enjoy his regular columns at The Times (he also occasionally writes for The Sun)

Ah, toilet papered something huh? And what may I ask did you do with the cardboard rolls? On a related note; who’s my wife?

Cory, you make me laugh.
Denise, do you know why Jeremy, James, and Richard have worn a reddish orange flower on their jackets? I tried to find the answer on the internets, but I had no luck.

Who knew feeding babies mashed up goop was so fun?
